C. Digital and Behavioral Data

We collect non-personal data when you interact with our online platforms.

  • Website Usage: IP address, browser type, referring pages, and interaction time.
  • Social Media Interaction: Engagement data (likes, comments, shares) across our platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, Anchor ). This helps us refine our content strategy (e.g., sermon delivery) and maximize our reach.  

II. Environmental Data and Media Collection

Our commitment to security and maximizing digital outreach necessitates the collection of data in the physical and virtual environment.

1. Physical Security Data (CCTV)

  • Surveillance Disclosure: For the safety and security of all attendees, volunteers, and assets, the entire church premises at the Karen Shopping Center, off Ngong Road, are permanently and always under CCTV surveillance (Closed-Circuit Television).  
  • Purpose: The data is used exclusively for crime prevention, asset protection (critical for the ongoing Buy-a-Brick capital campaign ), and ensuring the welfare of all who participate in our services and meetings.  

2. Media Consent and Visual Data

By attending any service (including the Sunday Service , special events, or the upcoming 15th Anniversary Celebration on November 2nd [User Update]), you acknowledge and consent to the collection and use of your likeness:  

  • Collection: You may be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded within the context of the congregation and event activities.
  • Usage: This visual data is used for legitimate ministry purposes, including live streaming, archiving full services on YouTube , and promotional content on our social media platforms to fulfill our mission of outreach.  
  • Virtual Meetings: Participants in the Tuesday Prayer Meeting via Zoom should be aware that while we do not typically record these sessions, any testimonies shared may be referenced or shared verbally for encouragement.  

III. Data Protection and Non-Disclosure

DCNgong Road employs industry-standard security measures, including physical, electronic, and managerial safeguards, to protect your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction.

1. Confidentiality of Financial Data

Individual giving records are treated with the highest level of confidentiality. While we publicly track the progress of collective campaigns (like the Buy-a-Brick Website ), individual amounts or personal donation histories are not disclosed outside of authorized personnel necessary for financial processing, auditing, and receipting.  

2. Third-Party Disclosure

DCNgong Road does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We will only share data in the following limited circumstances:

  • With trusted third-party service providers (e.g., payment processors for our M-Pesa Paybills or Zoom for our mid-week meetings ) necessary for core operations, under strict confidentiality agreements.  
  • When required by law or judicial process to protect the rights, property, or safety of DCNgong Road or its members.
