The Pastoral Care team takes care of the funerals, weddings, and crisis care including home and hospital visitation. We are here for you.

The Pastoral Care Team is comprised of both paid staff and volunteers. Whether you need someone to officiate a wedding, help plan a funeral, or simply need someone to pray with you in the hospital, we are here to serve you.

How we can help

If you would like to speak with a pastor, please call 0708 397097 and leave a message for the pastor on call (Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 4 PM).

On Sunday mornings, please show up at our main building during one of the services and speak with someone in a red shirt who can direct you to our weekend on-site pastor.

You may also show up and speak with the on-site pastor at Deliverance Church Ngong Road on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 9-11 AM, or your home fellowship leaders on Thursday evenings 6:30-8 PM.

Are you sick in the hospital or at home? We have a team that will come pray for you. Call 0708 397097, and someone will call you back to schedule a visit.

If you’d like to schedule your wedding at Deliverance Church Ngong Road’s Sanctuary, or have your offsite ceremony performed by a DCN Pastor, contact the Wedding Scheduler at family@dcngongrd.org.

Couples wishing to be married in our sanctuary or by a DCN pastor are required to participate in our Pre-Marital Course. Please email the scheduler if you will be using an alternative pre-marriage preparation.

If there has been a death in your family, please call 0708 397097 and leave a message. The care ministry will call you back.

What to do first:

  • Schedule a pastor for the service. Our pastors are available to preside over services at a local off-site location or the Sanctuary.
  • Select and make an appointment with a funeral home.

We offer the following in our Sanctuary:

  • A DCN pastor will conduct the funeral or memorial service.
  • An audio-visual/sound technician and a funeral coordinator will be provided.
  • The use of the Sanctuary (capacity approximately 350).

Please note: We have a sound system and large screen, but we cannot print funeral programs or create PowerPoint presentations for you. Minimum of 72 hours required to make all arrangements.

This is our suggested order of service for funerals:

  • Greeting
  • Scripture
  • Prayer
  • Song/music
  • Sharing by friends, relatives, and small group members
  • Message
  • Closing prayer
  • Graveside comments
